¿Qué elevadores podemos encontrar en el mercado?
- Elevadores, estándar con o sin tapa. Son los más básicos y los encontraremos de distintas alturas entre los 5 y los 15 centímetros. A la hora de elegirlo tendremos que tener en cuenta la altura del usuario. El más habitual es el de 10 cm, pero una persona alta puede precisar el de 15 cm y una persona más baja con el de 5 cm sería suficiente.

Información a tener en cuenta
A la hora de seleccionar el elevador es importante tener en cuenta su altura, siendo necesario saber cuál va a cubrir mejor nuestras necesidades.
Además, es importante tener en cuenta el volumen que ocupa, para lo cual debemos medir el espacio que disponemos en el baño (entre el WC, muebles y paredes), además de comprobar si es compatible con el inodoro.
A la hora de elegirlo debemos tener en cuenta que una vez sentados, rodillas y caderas deberán estar, en la mayoría de los casos a la misma altura (un asiento demasiado bajo puede estar desaconsejado).
La altura aconsejable es la distancia entre el pie posado en el suelo y la zona de flexión de la rodilla. A esta distancia se le resta la altura del inodoro.
